Tom Von Ruden is the Chief Manager of Von Companies. Taking over the family business at the age of 19, Tom represents the second generation of the Von Ruden family to guide the company. With 37 years in the industry, he has not only expanded the business but also cemented its reputation as a go-to for home remodeling projects in Prior Lake. Known for his problem-solving abilities and a love for adrenaline-pumping challenges, Tom continues to drive the company forward, ensuring that every project ends with a happy homeowner.
Elliot Drentlaw, Lead Carpenter
Elliot Drentlaw is the Lead Carpenter at Von Companies, bringing over 15 years of hands-on experience to the team. A second-generation carpenter, Elliot has construction in his veins and a passion for building that shines through in every project. When he’s not on the job, you can find him in the great outdoors, either hunting or staying active at the gym.
Jake Lennon, Project Manager
Jake Lennon brings 14 years of project management experience to the Von Companies team. As a natural facilitator, Jake bridges the gap between vision and reality, ensuring that every project not only meets but exceeds the expectations of the homeowner. Outside the office, Jake has a passion for travel and gets out of Minnesota whenever possible.
Ryan Appel, Carpenter
Ryan Appel brings over a decade of precision and artistry to Von Companies as a master carpenter specializing in trim work. With 11 years under his belt, Ryan’s expertise is not just in transforming spaces but in adding that final touch that turns houses into homes. When he’s not wielding his tools and bringing visions to life, Ryan can be found snowboarding.
Andrew Moonan, Laborer
Andrew Moonan has been a dedicated laborer for eight years. His knack for precision and hard work has made him an invaluable asset on the Von Companies team. Andrew has a unique family situation, he himself is a twin as are his two older sisters!
Hunter Von Ruden, Apprentice
Hunter Von Ruden, represents the third-generation of Von Ruden’s to work for Von Companies. With three years of hands-on experience, he’s learning the family passion for transforming houses into homes. When not honing his skills for the family trade, Hunter enjoys working out.

Kelly Willis brings over 25 years of diverse experience in real estate, property management, and construction to her role as Office Manager at Von Companies. Specializing in home remodeling, Kelly thrives on the daily challenges her job presents, ensuring every project runs smoothly. Outside the office, she’s a busy mom to three boys and two goldendoodles, and enjoys hitting the tennis courts.
